The Evolution of 5G and Mobile Wireless Generation

The generations of mobile technology evolved as a result of innovations made in the wireless technique application, newer services provided, capacity enhancement, power efficiency, and easy accessibility. 

1G :- Used various analog modulation for data transfer.

 2G :- (Voice+SMS/MMS) Start of digital voice communication era through secure and reliable communication channel-like CDMA and GSM. Pro- vided small data service like sms and mms. Note that 2G internet services came after the 3G establishment. 

3G :-  (Voice + Data) Beginning of decent internet connection and awe- some voice channel through better bandwidth and better connectivity even when travelling in a vehicle. Adopted HSPA for better data com- munication and to maintain 4G com- patibility. 

4G :- (Only DATA and Voice Over Data) Adoption of new feature-rich and affordable smart devices through usage of wider bandwidth in the com- munication channel for data. It lets voice call done over internet. 

5G :- A 12-fold increase in spectrum efficiency. It would operate at a carrier frequency of 3,5GHZ and supports simultaneous wireless connectivity. It achieved an unprecedented band- width efficiency of 79.4bit/s/Hz.
